The College of Massage Therapists of New Brunswick (CMTNB) is a not-for-profit organization established by the province of New Brunswick, for the purpose of advancing and maintaining the standard of massage therapy in New Brunswick, to govern and regulate massage therapy services provided to the public and provide for the welfare of members of the public.
Unlike schools which teach massage therapy or membership-based professional organizations, the CMTNB is one of only 5 colleges in Canada which regulates the practice of massage therapy.The CMTNB is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, made up of elected members of the College, as well as two lay persons appointed by the Minister of Health, representing the public.
